Behold, my first mood board! Originally I was going to use only Kate Moss photos until I realized what a beautiful, photogenic, stylish, and cool couple Johnny Depp and Kate Moss were.

Style Spotlight: Beth Ditto

Now this may be improperly categorized, but there is something inspirational about Beth Ditto. For those of you who don't know, she an American singer-songwriter and front-woman for the band Gossip. Although I may not agree with all her fashion choices (sometimes I think she bares a little too much), she sure is fearless. Nor do we share a similar taste in clothing. To clarify, I do not take direct inspiration from what she necessarily chooses to wear, but how she wears it. She is one of the few women on the planet that does not let her size restrict her from wearing what she wants to wear. I believe that is a rare and beautiful quality to possess. Evidently, with her wild fashion sense, she does not give a damn, and wants you to know that. And you have to be doing something right if your allowed to be photographed (and even graced with his presence) with the creative director for Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, am I right?

Monet-spiration

Being an artist, I figure a post or two about art wouldn't hurt. I mean, fashion is art, right? Looking at these paintings by Monet remind me of the florals commonly used for Spring. I find these bright colors so inspirational.

This is how I want to dress.

IRO really got it right. This is exactly how I want to dress this Spring/Summer. I want to fill my wardrobe with beige, army green, grey, and black. Don't you love how relaxed yet stylish these looks are? A skirt made of sweats for God's sake! I think it's pretty cool. And that leather jacket is perfection.
